Translator´s  note:

My translated versions of the book were published in 1972, 1985, 2001 and 2008. These are all in cyrillic. This script and alphabet was officially adopted in 1941 and is being used since then. Before that we used an ancient Mongolian script which is called Uigar script a translation that I published in 2006. This is still used as an official script in Inner Mongolia. When Le petit Prince is translated into Mongolian le petit means little, prince means prince õóíòàéæ. The artist who worked on the drawings of the 1972's edition somehow split the word prince as õóí òàéæ. That's actually a grammar error. Because word õóí means - cygne in French, òàéæ means noble. That's why you can noticed the difference in titles. Since it was already published we didn't really bother changing. Mongolian readers they understand it straight. The word prince was written as one word in the next editions. That would be correct one.
